1852년까지, 찰스 디킨스의 다비드 코퍼필드 (1850)에서 윌킨스 미카버 캐릭터를 통해, 낙관적인 환상 속에 사는 아이처럼 비현실적인 남성을 묘사하는 데 사용되었습니다.
