congeries 어원

"하나의 덩어리나 집합체로 모음," 1610년대, 라틴어 congeries "더미, 쌓인 것, 모인 덩어리"에서 유래, congerere "모으다, 쌓다"에서 유래, com "함께, 같이" (참조 con-) + gerere "운반하다, 수행하다" (참조 gest)의 동화된 형태에서 유래. 잘못된 단수형 congery는 1866년에 증명됨.
