maturity 的詞源

15世紀初， maturite，指“性格的成熟”； 15世紀中葉，指“成熟，完整，全面發展”，源自古法語 maturité，直接源自拉丁語 mātūritatem（主格 mātūritas）“成熟”，源自 mātūrus “成熟”（參見 mature（動詞））。這個詞似乎在早期現代英語中重新借用：
