dumdum 어원

충격 시 팽창하는 금속 케이스 총알의 일종으로, 1897년에 벵골의 Dum-Dum 무기고에서 이름이 유래되었습니다. 영국 군대의 병사들은 부족민들의 광신적인 돌격에 맞서 사용하기 위해 이 총알을 제작했습니다. 1899년 국제 선언에 의해 금지되었습니다. 이 지명은 문자 그대로 "언덕, 둔덕, 포대"를 의미하며, 페르시아어 damdama와 관련이 있습니다.
