「 charade 」の語源

1776年、フランス語のcharade（18世紀）から、プロヴァンス語のcharrado「長い話、おしゃべり」から派生した可能性があり、その起源は不明ですが、おそらくcharrar「おしゃべりする、噂話をする」から、反響的な起源を持つものです。イタリア語のciarlare、スペイン語のcharlar「話す、おしゃべりする」と比較してください。
