"강력한 사람," 1670년대, Great Mogul (1580년대)에서 유래, 1520년대 정복 이후 유럽인들 사이에서 인도의 몽골 황제를 지칭하는 일반적인 명칭, 페르시아어 및 아랍어 mughal, mughul에서 유래, Mongol (참조) 변형, 아시아 민족. 최고의 품질 카드 플레이를 의미하는 이름으로, 1742년까지, 뒷면 디자인 때문에 그렇게 불리움.
