Myanmar 的詞源

這是緬甸的一個舊名稱，也是當地語言中對該國的稱呼，1989年被緬甸的軍事統治者正式採用。改名的理由包括擺脫殖民遺產，或是淡化與緬族主要民族的聯繫。
