「 G-string 」の語源

1878年、geestring、「アメリカインディアンが着用する腰巻き布」、元々はそれを支える紐で、語源は不明。Gの綴り（1882年）は、おそらくバイオリンの弦がGに調律される影響から（この意味でのG stringは最初に記録されたのが1831年）、バイオリンの弦の中で最も低く重いもの。女性の衣装に最初に使用されたのは1936年で、ストリップティーザーを指す。
