「 bloomers 」の語源

「膝下でボタン留めするゆったりとしたズボン」のことを指し、1851年にアメリカの女性解放運動家アメリア・ジェンクス・Bloomer（1818-1894）の名前にちなんで名付けられました。彼女は、女性の服装をより実用的にするための試みの一環として、このズボンを推奨していました。元々のブルーマー衣装は、短いスカートに、足首でボタン留めするゆったりとしたズボン、そして広い縁の低い王冠の帽子から成っていました。
