artiste 的詞源

“藝術中不被視爲美術之一的某種藝術技能的熟練者； 將自己的職業視爲一門藝術的人”，1819年在英語中被證明，從1804年開始作爲法語單詞在英語中使用，來自法語 artiste； 是 artist 的英語再借用，起初在外國語境中使用，後來用於填補 artist 的意義已經限制於視覺藝術，尤其是繪畫之後的空白。
