dubiety 的詞源

"懷疑，不確定性"，1650年代，源自於晚期拉丁語 dubietas "懷疑，不確定"，源自於拉丁語 dubius "搖擺不定的，波動的"，比喻爲"在觀點上搖擺不定，懷疑"（參見 dubious）。在同樣的意義上，早期的詞語有 dubiosity（1640年代）， dubiousness（1650年代）； 也參見 dubitation。
