mogul 的詞源

“强大的人”，1670年代，来自 Great Mogul（1580年代），欧洲人对印度蒙古皇帝的普遍称呼，源自1520年代征服后的波斯语和阿拉伯语 mughal， mughul，对 Mongol（参见）的变体，指亚洲民族。作为最高质量扑克牌的名称，1742年之前，因其背面的设计而得名。
