nada 的詞源

俚語中的“nothing”，1933年（海明威），源自西班牙語 nada 的“nothing”，源自拉丁語 (res) nata 的“小的，微不足道的東西”，字面意思是“（東西）出生”，源自 natus， nasci 的過去分詞“出生”（古拉丁語 gnasci），源自 PIE 詞根 *gene- 的“生育，產生”。

首次出現在海明威的作品《一個乾淨明亮的地方》中，故事發生在一個西班牙咖啡館，其中這個詞起到了重要作用：
