precession 的詞源

"先行或向前移動的行爲，前進"，1590年代，源自晚期拉丁語 praecissionem（主格 praecissio）"到來之前"，源自拉丁語 praecedere 的過去分詞詞幹（參見 precede）。最初用於指赤道點的計算，每年都會稍微提前，這是希帕克斯（公元前190年-公元前120年）發現的現象。
