junk 的詞源

14世紀中期， junke “舊纜繩或繩索”，被切成小塊用於填縫等，這是一個起源不明的航海詞彙，可能來自古法語 junc “蘆葦，蘆杆”，也用作某種價值不高的東西的比喻，源自拉丁語 iuncus “蘆葦，蘆杆”（但 OED 沒有發現“任何聯繫的證據”）。
