kitch 的詞源

古英語單詞可能直接來自通俗拉丁語。美國英語俚語 Kitchen cabinet “非正式但有權勢的顧問團隊”起源於1832年，最初指安德魯·傑克遜總統，他的親密朋友被認爲比他的官方顧問更有影響力。考古學中的 Kitchen midden（1863年）翻譯自丹麥語 kjøkken mødding。姓氏 Kitchener（“從事或監督（修道院）廚房工作的人”）可追溯至14世紀初。
