organized 的詞源

「organised」這個詞大約在1400年出現，最初的意思是「配備了樂器」，因此引申為「擁有生命力」。它是從動詞 organize 轉化而來的過去分詞形容詞。到1817年，這個詞的普遍意義已經演變為「形成一個整體，並且各部分相互依賴」。而「Organized labor」這個詞組則在1872年被證實，用來指代工會化的工人；在此之前，它曾經指涉刑罰懲罰，並且是美國奴隸制辯護者的一種委婉說法。
