vulgarity 的詞源

14世紀末，「普通的，通常的，平常的，普遍使用的；通常使用或理解的事物」，常指寫作或語言，來自拉丁語 vulgaris, volgaris「關於普通人；低俗的，卑微的」，源自 vulgus, volgus「普通人，大眾，群眾」，對此 de Vaan 沒有提供進一步的詞源解釋。
