「 animated 」の語源

1530年代に「生きている」という意味で使われ始めた過去分詞形の形容詞で、animate（動詞）から派生しています。「精神的に興奮した、活気のある」という意味は1530年代から、「活動に満ちた」という意味は1580年代から見られます。動く絵という意味での使用は1890年から確認されています。関連語としては、Animatedly（活発に）が挙げられます。
