carrousel 어원

1640년대, "기사들이 전차나 horseback에서 치르는 튤팅 대회, 유희적인 토너먼트"라는 의미로 프랑스어 carrousel "튤팅 대회"에서 유래되었으며, 이탈리아어 carusiello에서, 아마도 carro "전차"에서 유래되었고, 라틴어 carrus "2륜 마차"에서 유래되었다 (참조 car). 현대의 의미 "회전목마"로서의 오락 기구는 1895년에 등장했지만, 그 이전에도 그러한 것에 대한 제안이 있었다:
