Munchkin 的詞源

1690年代，“發芽或噴射出來，射出”，源自法語 jeter “投擲，推動”，來自晚期拉丁語 iectare（從 deiectare， proiectare 等中抽象出來），代替拉丁語 iactare “拋擲”，頻繁使用 iacere “投擲，拋擲”，源自 PIE 詞根 *ye- “投擲，推動”。

中古英語有一個動詞 getten， jetten，意思是“騰躍，趾高氣揚，炫耀”（約1400年），來自動詞的舊法語形式 getter， jetter。相關： Jetted； jetting。
