disputation 的詞源

14世紀晚期， disputacioun，“關於某事真相的正式辯論或討論，面向觀衆或官方機構”，源自古法語 desputasion，直接源自拉丁語 disputationem（主格 disputatio），是 disputare 的動名詞形式，“權衡，檢查，討論，爭論，解釋”（參見 dispute（v.））。早期的說法是 desputeison（約1300年），源自古法語 desputaison。
