hooch 的詞源

也稱 hootch，指“廉價威士忌”，起源於1897年，是 Hoochinoo（1877）的縮寫，指“阿拉斯加印第安人釀造的酒”，得名於阿拉斯加的一個土著部落，他們釀造的蒸餾酒在1898年的淘金熱中備受礦工們的喜愛； 據 OED 稱，這個部落的名字來自於 Tlingit 語中的 Hutsnuwu，字面意思是“灰熊堡壘”。
