rayon 的詞源

「光束，從發光體沿特定方向發出的光」，14世紀早期，rai，來自古法語 rai（主格 rais）「光線（陽光），輪子的輻條；噴出，噴湧」，來自拉丁語 radius「光線，輻條，杖，棒」（參見 radius）。在17世紀之前不常見。[OED]；通常指陽光，特別是指熱（beam 更常用於光）。
