retrocopulation 的詞源

14世紀晚期， copulacioun，“連接，結合，聯合”，源自拉丁語 copulationem（主格 copulatio）“連接，結合，連接”的動作名詞，來自 copulare “連接，夫妻，捆綁，鏈接，聯合”的過去分詞詞幹，來自 copula “帶子，綁帶，鏈接”（參見 copulate）。 “性交，交媾”的具體意義始於15世紀晚期，這成爲16世紀的主要意義。
