Etimologia e Storia di baker

Antico Inglese bæcere "fornaio, colui che cuoce (soprattutto pane)," sostantivo agente da bacan "cuocere" (vedi bake (v.)). Cugino con Olandese bakker, Tedesco Bäcker, Becker. Nel Medioevo, l'arte aveva due divisioni, braun-bakeres e whit-bakeres.
