「 iracund 」の語源

「怒りっぽい、怒りを抱きやすい」という意味で、1707年に使われ始めました。これは後期ラテン語の iracundus に由来し、さらに遡ると ira（「怒り、憤り、激情」を意味する）から来ています（詳しくは ire (n.) を参照）。関連語としては、1765年に登場した Iracundulous があります。
