「 governmentalism 」の語源

「政府の権力と範囲を拡大しようとする傾向」、1841年に登場した言葉で、governmental（政府に関する）と-ism（主義）を組み合わせたもの。もともとはフランスに関連して使われた可能性があり、おそらくフランス語から来ている。

Besides this, it is a well known fact, one made sufficiently clear by the history of the United States, that the less governmentalism there is in a country, the better it is for the citizens as to their material interests.
