「 pursuance 」の語源

「追いかけること、追求すること」という意味で1590年代に使われ始めました。これはフランス語の poursuiance（「追いかける行為」）から来ており、さらに古フランス語の poursuir（「追いかける、追求する、続ける、続行する」）に由来しています（詳しくは pursue を参照）。
