apprehend 的詞源

14世紀晚期， apprehenden，“用感官或頭腦抓住”； 15世紀初，“物理上抓住，抓住”，來自拉丁語 apprehendere “抓住，抓住”，來自 ad “到”（見 ad-）+ prehendere “抓住”。這來自 prae- “之前”； 見 pre- + -hendere，來自 PIE 詞根 *ghend- “抓住，拿走”。
