yours 的詞源

「屬於你們的東西」，是your的絕對形式，大約在公元1300年出現，模仿his、ours等形式。

Yours truly（代名詞）意指「我自己」，最早出現於1833年，源自於信件結尾的禮貌用語。

It is difficult to say what will succeed, and still more to pronounce what will not. I am at this moment in that uncertainty (on our own score,) and it is no small proof of the author's powers to be able to charm and fix a mind's attention on similar subjects and climates in such a predicament.
